R. Kerr/R. Nichol: THAT the commemorative items select committee management report dated March 2017 be received.

REPORTS:
WATER FEATURE
 
 
Tom Sparrow, North Island Hospitals Chief Project Officer, provided information regarding the possibility of incorporating a potential water feature into the existing landscape plans for the two hospitals.
 
 
R. Kerr/E. Eriksson: THAT the committee support option B for a water feature for the Campbell River hospital site as per the site drawing provided by the North Island Hospitals Project (NIHP) Chief Project Officer;

AND FURTHER THAT the NIHP Chief Project Officer report back to the committee with conceptual artist renderings from the project architect and costing.

HOSPITALS SITE VISIT
 
 
James Warren, General Manager of Corporate Services, provided information regarding a site visit for committee members to the Campbell River hospital on April 13, 2017 and the Comox Valley hospital on April 18, 2017 to consider possible placement sites for the bronze building plaques.
 
 
NEW BUSINESS:
COMOX STRATHCONA REGIONAL HOSPITAL DISTRICT PURCHASE OF PROMOTIONAL PENS
 
 
E. Eriksson/R. Kerr: THAT consideration of the correspondence dated March 16, 2017 from Director Cornfield regarding the proposed purchase of Comox Strathcona Regional Hospital District promotional pens be deferred to the next committee meeting.
